The Power of Collaborations

Two people can get more accomplished than one, likewise two or more nonprofit organizations can achieve more through collaborations.

Go it alone and your nonprofit will literally be on an island unto itself. If you think survivor is a tough challenge, go it alone in the nonprofit world and you will be shipwrecked forever.

How does a nonprofit begin collaborating with other nonprofits? The best way to do it is to observe similar nonprofits, call them, set up a meeting and discuss the prospects of collaboration.

As long as you keep in mind that the overall goal of nonprofits is to strengthen communities, you'll be on the right track. Don't just settle for one nonprofit, contact several and build your liaison stronger and stronger, when local government officials and funders see the willingness of several nonprofits willing to work together, they'll be more inclined to listen to you discuss your mission, goals, objectives, and vision for long term success.

The Power of Collaborations will yield unlimited results for your specific target audience. Get out there and build collaborations, every chance you get.
